Each of the States have a great position, they get to present the Best of Their State to the rest of the USA. They promote their places, people and things with their web site and their blogging sites.
Each of the programs that carry winners to the National Level passes through the State Celebration. There the best of the state will be selected to represent the state for a year and take a shot at being the Best in the USA.
The State will be the funnel for tourism into the state. It will showcase the things that make Hometown America the place of memories for millions of displaced Americans. Those people who moved from their Hometown to pursue their version of the American Dream. Here on the State Web Community they can see people from their hometown in the blogs and as Celebrities all across their state.
The State Affiliates have much less stress from their schedules than the Metro Affiliates but they earn a lot of money from the statewide publicity they generate.
